Chinese Medicine

•    Treats the root cause of disorders to prevent the recurrence of symptoms.
•    Makes diagnoses with consideration to personal medical history, unique constitution, age, diet and lifestyle as well as investigating with physical examinations.
•    Is holistic and goes further than a singular approach of applying quick-fix generalised treatments to symptoms.
•    Corrects and regulates the body’s natural workings.
•    Results in more energy, greater physical ability, emotional strength and longevity.

The World Health Organisation recognises a number of disorders successfully treated by acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine including: psychological; neurological; gynecological; dermatological; musculoskeletal; cardio-vascular; uro-genital; digestive; respiratory and sensory difficulties, proving acupuncture to be an effective treatment for many common ailments.

Acupuncture

•    Stimulates the central nervous system by inserting extremely fine needles to activate acupoints.
•    Needle insertion is relatively painless.
•    Points are then stimulated by heat or gentle manipulation to relax the body.
•    Points are chosen in combination to communicate with various organs and nerve pathways to unblock, stimulate and correct them
•    Clinical research has confirmed and added to traditional knowledge developed through thousands of years of practice and intellectual achievement

Tui Na Massage

•    Is massage with an emphasis on acupressure or “trigger points”
•    These points are representative of a deeper framework reflecting imbalances in organ systems and musculoskeletal function
•    Combines the use of suction cupping to promote the flow of blood, nourish muscle layers and release trapped toxins
•    Makes a fitting addition to a detoxifying footbath and reflexology treatment

Chinese Herbs

•    Have a therapeutic focus to strengthen from within to resist external influences
•    Grow naturally, are rich in vitamins, minerals and other elements that detoxify and strengthen organ function
•    Such as ginseng, gingko and ginger are renowned for their health-giving properties and are now widely used and enjoyed
•    Are a respected system of primary healthcare for all sorts of conditions
•    Herbal formulae are designed for individuals with individual health conditions
•    Generally have very few (if any) negative side effects
